So why Alaska?

Snowboarding in Alaska has something to offer that no other place can. As you can see from these pictures the slopes stay steep from the top to the bottom glacier floor. There are no tree zones and very little rolling hills at the bottom. You can find pitches that stay constant from top to bottom. And it snows a lot. The snow isn't always powder, you sometimes hit crud and ice like anywhere else, but there is so much to choose from it usually isn't a problem to find the good stuff.
